Why the HairMax LaserComb®?
The HairMax LaserComb® was designed and developed in Australia during the 1980's. The founding director of Lexington International, LLC, Henry Pearl was a pioneer in the use of laser technology at a leading skin and hair care clinic and research center in Sydney, Australia.
Strict Quality Standards
The company was established in 2000 in the U.S.A. to develop and market this revolutionary device. The HairMax LaserComb® is assembled in the USA under strict quality control standards and complies with all applicable laser safety standards. There have been no reports from studies or from general usage of any serious adverse reactions occurring during the five years it has been marketed.
The energy parameters chosen for use in the HairMax LaserComb® are the result of years of observing and analyzing the effects of lasers on thousands of individual cases.
Extensive Scientific Studies on LLLT
While LLLT is not a new discovery, to date there have been over 3,500 positive scientific studies on this topic published internationally. Lexington International, LLC spent over 10 years to perfect a convenient hand-held device that would be not only effective, but also safe and easy to use.
In 2003, an independent report by the Hair and Scalp Clinic of Clearwater, Florida was published in a peer reviewed medical journal.
FDA Submission & Clearance
In January 2006, a 510K filing was submitted to the FDA. Subsequently, in January 2007, marketing clearance was received from the FDA for the HairMax LaserComb® with the following official indication:
